Top Rated Robot Vacuums
A robot vacuum will keep your floors clean enough to reduce the frequency of hoovering manually. Look for one that offers excellent navigation, is able to clean corners and stairs and has a huge dust bin that requires emptying only once in a while.
You can also find models that can mop and charge themselves which can be essential for those who have children or pets. The top performers in our tests have good obstacle avoidance.
1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO
The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling the i3 EVO are both identical robots, but they differ in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying features. The i3+ is an excellent alternative for those who want a an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience but are willing to manually empty the dustbin of the robot after it has filled up.
Both robots are adept at picking up surface dirt on floors and carpets and can maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that assist the i3+ to navigate and clean up efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots we evaluated the i3+ does not have any obstacle-avoidance features, so it may get stuck on things such as power cords or socks, and it can have difficulty navigating across surface transitions, such as from hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends clearing areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include getting rid of any toys or clutter it may come across. It's also an excellent idea to keep the bin and filter clear so they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and automatically empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. Then it continues cleaning where it left off. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for about an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to recharge.
2. iRobot i7+ Roomba
The iRobot i7+ is a top model from iRobot’s flagship line, and it comes with the most recent features. It's self-charging, self-navigating, and the most important feature of all -- it comes with a self-emptying dustbin that eliminates one of the main sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
robot vacuum sale I7+ can better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can direct your robot using the app or via voice.
The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. robot vacuum deals removed large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin which eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.
We were also awestruck by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room and vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. After connecting we were able to give the i7+ voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a sea of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It is powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of homes, but also small enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.
The V10 is powered by a 7-cell high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filter system removes allergens, and then releases clean air back into your home. The cleaning head is specially designed to drive bristles made of nylon that are stiff into carpets to trap large dust and crumbs. It comes with three suction settings to suit the task that is being completed. It can quickly switch from floor vacuum to handheld vacuum, and vice versa.
This model also has docks that charge to 100% in around 3.5 hours and offers easy access to two attachments and the wand clip. This is a significant improvement over previous Dysons that require a long charge and are difficult to store.
The main drawback of the V10 is its sluggish run time. As CR's tests have shown, its advertising claims of up to 60 minutes are not true. This is a typical, not an exceptional, time for a battery-powered cordless vac. This is enough time to clean the average-sized home but not enough to reach every area. (A second run is usually sufficient). This doesn't mean that this model isn't a good choice: It's lighter and maneuverable than older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming performance is significantly better on carpets with low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
The 694 is a standard robot vacuum that's a great option for those who don't have lots of money to invest in an expensive robot. It was able to remove the majority of types of debris and sizes during our tests and would often go over the same area several times for a thorough clean. Its flat front design allows it to reach corners and edges of walls.
Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it's not equipped with the ability to map that comes with more sophisticated models like our top picks and the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It is prone to getting stuck on phone cords or furniture and often runs out of power before returning to its original location.
The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694 in that it has fewer components that require regular cleaning, comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, has a lower recurring cost and has more advanced automation abilities and is better able to maneuver its own. It also has a bigger dustbin and can charge faster.
The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery longevity than the Roomba 694. It also has physical boundaries strips that can be controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It is also more durable and has a more powerful motor, and performs notably better on floors that are bare and carpets with a low pile, as well as offering a wider range of features for automation.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
Samsung is a name that you see on all sorts of home electronics, so it comes as no surprise that they're also one of the top mop and robot vacuum manufacturers. Their Jet Bot AI+ is equipped with cutting-edge onboard technology to aid in navigation and obstacles avoidance.
The app provides plenty of options to personalize your robotic cleaner, such as virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior modification, docking frequency settings, and much more. It's easy to comprehend and is user-friendly, which is the case with other Samsung devices.

In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It cleaned up 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). However, it didn't do particularly well with larger objects, like cords and socks which was a disappointment. It's also more expensive than the other models we've tested, and this could be a deterrent for certain shoppers.
The app allows you to access the camera onboard of the smart vacuum. You can also create live streaming from the robot's cleaning zone. This feature allows you to keep track of your pets or children when you're away from home. The filter and the dustbin can be washed for a quick, painless clean-up. The Jet Bot AI+ comes with self-emptying clean stations, which helps keep the robot's bin clear and improves suction power.
6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum
Unlike other robotic vacuums, which are designed for both carpets and hard floors, Black and Decker robots are specifically designed for hard floors. They come with a wide cleaning path as well as a large dustbin that holds twice as much debris than other models to keep the area clear for maximum runtime. They also have two side sweepers for cleaning around corners and edges. The POWERSERIES model includes AutoSense which adjusts the power level depending on whether it's cleaning up dirt that is on the surface or embedded. It also has a smart app that lets you browse the virtual map, and control the functions and schedules. You can also monitor the vacuum's battery status and send it back to its dock for charging at the touch of the button. robot vacuum deals lets you to personalize the LED lights on top of the vacuum using different colors, so that you can easily identify the areas where it's focused or where it's got stuck.
The application also allows you to steer the robot manually in the event of need. For example, my living room rug has a darkly-colored border that has a tendency to trip up some of the other robots I've tested. However, the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border without registering it as an incline. The ability to program a daily cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving advantage.
